Would You pay £530 a month to live in a bed - in a SHED - in a living room in London?
What kind of property would you expect to live in if you were paying £530? Would you expect your own room with some space? A bed? Privacy?
When looking for a place to live in Bethnal Green, Joe Peduzzi read an advert that stated ‘The room is the biggest in the house and comes with a sofa which means sharing it with the rest of us sometimes.’
To anyone, it would sound like you’ve just won the lottery, but what Joe wasn’t expecting was the room to be a shed in a living room. Whilst Joe was quite taken aback by the whole thing, the current tenants seemed quite unfazed.
This is just another example to add to the long list of many properties exploiting the rights of tenants in order to cope with London’s extreme housing conditions. Whilst Joe did not take the property, the sad thing is someone will.
