Model and mother face jail for £3million Kensington property fraud plot

A model and her mother are both facing jail after attempting to orchestrate the fraudulent sale of a pensioner’s £3million Kensington property.

Laylah De Cruz, 31, convinced her mother, Dianne Moorcroft 62, to pose as the property owner in order to receive a bridging loan of just under £1.2million, which was withdrawn in Dubai.

Both women denied conspiracy to commit fraud, but were convicted by a jury majority of 10-2 at Southwark Crown Court.
